Tuition Fees

Tuition Fees

From 1 September 2012, the tuition fee for the European Politics Master's program is 1500 euro per semester (3000 euro per year or 6000 euro for the whole degree program). See the tuition fees section on university web site for reference.

The tuition fee covers tuition, as well as student administration, access to the library and computers, access to other university facilities, and course readers. The fee also covers e-learning and comfortable WWW access to electronic versions of study materials (all compulsory course readings are available on the university Intranet) and other digital resources.

The tuition fee does not cover room, board, insurance or the cost of student trips.

Tuition fees are payable at the beginning of the semester. As proof of payment, an invoice will be issued by the economic division. If requested, the tuition fee could be paid in two installments.

The program is also open to students whose aim is not to study for a graduate degree, but only to earn credits. These students may enroll in individual courses of their choice. The tuition fees for these courses are proportional to the number of credits.

Scholarships at Masaryk University

All degree students at Masaryk University can use a wide range of study abroad scholarships to spend a semester at our European or overseas partner universities. See the Mobility Section of the Faculty website for more information. Each semester, there are also accommodation scholarships available as a small contribution to living costs. Apart from this, the Faculty of Social Studies can offer scholarships from its own fund, see below.

Scholarships for the best students

The Faculty of Social Studies supports its best students by scholarships. In the second year of study, three best students of each degree program with the study average below 1.5 are awarded scholarships of 1200, 800 and 400 euros. Other scholarships are awarded for best essays in the social sciences (I. A. Blaha prizes each year in May), publications in impacted journals and other activities contributing to the representation of the university. Mobility scholarships for study abroad stays that are difficult to finance from the large exchange schemes are available to support the international dimension of studies. Students are informed about the scholarship programs regularly.

Besides, the European Politics program can offer a scholarship on the basis of its own criteria that fully or partly covers the tuition fee, but does not include other costs to the student such as travel, accommodation, board, books required for study courses, and other living expenses. The scholarship is open to current students only. The deadline for application is June 15.
